I'm not really a fan of parody, but think I might be able to utilise it to good effect in my book. I'm keen to have a mixture of different types of 'art' to demonstrate, and think it would be good to demonstrate both the visual and theoretical side of art.
I like this as an image, and thinks it serves an interesting purpose in my publication. One worry I have is if that the effect is dependant upon the audience knowing what painting is being parodied, and perhaps this is not inclusive? Although, it is a very iconic image.
